Yo, wazzup? My given name is Greg but I am mostly known as Guru, Gman or just G. I am a Stage IV Cancer patient with a long history of Malignant Melanoma. My blistering sunburns from 30 years ago cost me my health (10 operations to remove tumors, partial paralysis, permanent chronic lymphedema, full-blown diabetes), and my money! I made the scene in San Diego, California way back in '59 (a Cancer). I 'got my learn on' in West Lafayette, Indiana 'til the senior year and then spent 4 excruciatingly long years in Starkville, Mississippi from 1976 to 1980. Went to college and started my musical career in Gainesville but I have been bouncing in and around the multitude of 'burbs of Tampa Bay since 1986. I dig music, in all it's many forms but especially Classic and Alternative Rock, Bluegrass, Ambient Electronica and Techno. So natch I tend to lean to the left politically. Anyway, back in "my yout'" I toured around the country as a Roadie/ Stage Manager and Guitar and MIDI technician for many famous top acts< and I've even performed in front of thousands as a member of some popular Tampa Bay area rock bands. Like most modern musos, I have assembled a digital recording studio in my home and (when the stars are aligned) once in a while I find time to spend creating my own unique sonic landscapes.
